My name is Amman Haidri and I am running for the Hopkinton Board of Selectmen.
In both my career and personal life, I have always listened to people's concerns and worked collaboratively to help people resolve challenges. As Selectman, I will take the same approach to listening and working together, with a focus on delivering the transparency, oversight and execution that the people of Hopkinton deserve from town government.
I humbly request your vote for Amman Haidri for Selectmen on May 15.
My name is Amy Ritterbusch and I am running in a contested race for one of the 5-year seats on the Hopkinton Planning Board.
I am a hard worker, I do my research and I have a long history of involvement with the town and schools. This is a critical time for Hopkinton due to the rapid growth and development we are experiencing. I don’t have all the answers, but I believe it is important to have a Planning Board that better reflects the priorities of the town population as a whole. During the campaign process I am reaching out to residents from all parts of town, lifelong residents and newcomers.
It is important to have Planning Board members who are knowledgeable, informed and actively engaged with the issues and the residents. My communications background, technical and research skills will be a good compliment to the skill sets of the other board members. I will continue to work hard to stay on top of the issues in town while also bringing some balance and fresh perspective. I respectfully ask for your vote on Monday, May 15.
My name is Muriel Kramer, and I am running for a five year seat on the Planning Board. I am asking for your vote on Monday May 15th; I have long been interested in planning for Hopkinton that truly contemplates and balances the priorities of the voters, the rights ofproperty developers, and the concerns of neighbors affected by any development. A process that engages all stakeholders respectfully and considers thoughtfully the many and often competing priorities is necessary to both plan for and support growth that is revenue enhancingand in keeping with the small town charm of Hopkinton, the reason so many of us first moved here.
I will earn my Masters Degree in Social Work at Boston College in May this year. As I look forward to my next career in social justice advocacy, I find I am ready to re-engage more actively in town government. I have served on the Board of Appeals (2002-’04), chaired the Master Plan Committee (2004-’06), and served as a selectwoman including two years as chair (2005-’08). I am currently serving as the Deputy Town Moderator (2009-present) and as a Commissioner of Trust Funds (2014 – present).
I respectfully ask for your vote for Planning Board on Monday, May 15th.
Hello, I am Irfan Nasrullah, and I am running as a candidate for the Planning Board. When I first considered running for office, I asked myself why am I interested and what skill set do I bring to the table. Simply put, I want to give back to the community I’ve spend the better part of my life in and where I am now raising my children.
I am an Environmental Attorney who also practices in Real Estate. I’ve worked with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Environmental Crime Strike Force, then moved to the MassDEP protecting water and land resources. In my private practice, I worked with numerous Conservation Commissions and Planning Boards. I bring familiarity with land development as well as a responsible stewardship of land in both planning and development. I know that my qualifications, and experiences, both professional and personal make me an ideal candidate for the Planning Board.
For these reasons, I respectfully request your vote on May 15th.

My name is Lesley Ficarri. I am running for the 1 year-term position available on the Board of Assessors, and I am excited to have the potential opportunity to serve our community in this role and I respectfully ask for your vote on May 15th.
If you are not familiar with Board of Assessors, its key responsibilities are to support the Assessing Department in valuing real estate and personal property, considering tax abatements and exemptions and providing data and analysis needed to set the annual tax rate in accordance with applicable Massachusetts laws.
What do I offer? Professionally, I am a human resources executive. Much of my success has stemmed from a foundation of sound judgement, high ethics and confidentiality. I have needed to understand and advise within legal frameworks and to make decisions considering both data and the impact on people. I have led teams and managed budgets of $50+ million. Leveraging my background and skills will allow me to contribute quickly to the Board. Personally, my husband, Pete, and I grew up near Pittsburgh, PA. We moved to Massachusetts in 1998 and to Hopkinton in 2001 when we built our house. We previously volunteered for the town. I served on the Personnel Committee, and he was on the Zoning Board of Appeals and Zoning Advisory Committee. We have made great friends here and very much enjoy living in Hopkinton.
My name is Sue Kurys and I am running for a contested seat on the HopkintonBoard of Library Trustees. Our new library will be a rallying-point for the community spirit thatmakes Hopkinton special. I have lived in Hopkinton for nearly 20 years and would be honoredto give back to the community by serving as a library trustee.
In 2012, I began volunteering through the public library system as a Basic Literacy and English-as-a- Second-Language tutor. That experience spurred my interest and I’ve continued toeducate myself about the vast range of issues that community libraries face - from setting finesto managing digital collections to protecting patron privacy. I have tremendous respect for theskills and experience the Hopkinton Public Library staff brings to such challenges.
I am excited about the future of our library and respectfully ask for your vote on May 15th.

I am running for re-election to Parks and Rec! I have been spearheading so many great programs and events for our community in the last two years, and I am not ready to stop! I love putting on the Free Summer Concerts on the Commons, and we have events for Sandy Beach Fun, and I am working on getting a Dog Park here as well!
With your vote on May 15th, I will continue to serve our community!
My name is Jenn Devlin and I am running for the open seat on the Hopkinton School Committee. I believe my background in business and as a middle school teacher will lend well to the responsibilities of this position.
My years of experience teaching and developing curriculum provide me with a unique perspective on how school districts should balance course offerings and influence the learning opportunities for our students. My insight into both the form and function of public education will be an asset to the School Committee, especially as we draft the next strategic plan. In fact, I have a very vested interest in both the continued success of the district and developing a strong next-phase strategic plan as a parent of students in both 1st and 3rd grade.
I would consider it an honor to serve the community on our School Committee and I respectfully request your vote on May 15th.
